Starting in 1998, U&I Co., Ltd. (the predecessor of UNIGROUP) was established with the main business activities was being investment consulting, import-export consulting, customs declaration, and import-export logistics. With the wave of investment from domestic and foreign businesses into Binh Duong province, the founders of UNIGROUP identified their working philosophy as "Client's interest first" and made it their motto for action. In the early 2000s, when many foreign investors were still unfamiliar with the domestic business environment, the dedication of U&I was one of the shining points that customers chose and trusted.
From the initial team of six members, in 2003, U&I transformed into a joint-stock company and changed our name to UNIGROUP, transferring all logistics services to UNITRANS Joint Stock Company to expand and deepen the logistics business. As a private domestic enterprise with not many asset platforms like state-owned or foreign enterprises at that time, UNITRANS chose to persist in serving customers with typical Vietnamese qualities: honesty, discipline, and integrity. The spiritual child of UNIGROUP founders at that time now has developed into a service brand with the unique path!
Leading the field of Customs Bonded Warehouse for Wood and Wooden Furniture industry.
In 2006, after identifying the main segment as the production and distribution of household wooden furniture, we started a long journey to conquer a major customer from North America, proving that that the Vietnamese team can do all the standard steps from importing goods at production plants in Binh Duong, storing, clearing, transferring by multi-modal transport all the way to chain stores in the US. U&I Logistics' customs warehouse has surpassed the stringent requirements of the U.S. Customs with C-TPAT certification, which is one of the difficult certificates to reflect the capacity to ensure security and safety for goods. One of the challenges for wood and furniture service providers is to equip specialized moisture-absorbing equipment to ensure storage quality. U&I logistics company did not hesitate to invest capital to meet the customer's desire in the context of very few service warehouses having this solution. The efforts of the U&I team were rewarded with the introduction of the above-mentioned major customer to the business community in the wood and furniture industry in the United States, Europe, China, Taiwan, etc. And the name U&I Logistics in the field of Customs Warehouse for Wood and Furniture also began to gain fame internationally!
On 26th January, 2007, there was remarkable milestone in the foundation history of U&I Logistics when Warehouse No.1 was inaugurated with a scale of 39,600 square meters – one of the largest warehouses in Vietnam at that time. Equipped with an automatic temperature and humidity control system specifically designed for the wood and wooden furniture industry, U&I's warehouse was a pioneer in managing goods through the application of smart bar-code software, allowing customers to control and manage their goods and business progress anytime, anywhere. In 2007, when cloud computing was still in its infancy, U&I's warehouse management system was a pure Vietnamese self-built solution capable of integrating and interacting directly with customers, a source of pride for the personnel team. With the above outstanding advantages, Customs Warehouse No. 1 quickly filled up.
Following this success, U&I Logistics continued to expand the customs warehouse range, and within 14 years since the establishment of Warehouse No. 1, as of 2021, we have inaugurated our 10th customs warehouse, raising the total floor area of customs warehouse to 242,320 m2 and total storage area over 2 million m2, leading Southeast Asia in the Customs Warehouse sector...
Develop, and become an effective solution provider for customers
In 2015, U&I Transport and Freight Joint Stock Company once again changed the name to U&I Logistics Corporation with the aim of developing comprehensive full-service logistics for customers, emphasizing efficiency and long-term commitment.
Along with the operation of the Bonded Warehouse, our logistics services have gradually developed and improved, meeting many complex service requirements of customers: domestic transportation services, international multi-modal transportation services, customs declaration agency services, and export-import tax consultation services...
As of early 2023, U&I Logistics owns 40 tractors, over 100 trailers and a partner network with a scale of 1,000 TEUs/day. There are also an agent for 16 major airlines domestically and internationally, more than 20 shipping lines with domestic and trans-oceanic routes, serving tens of thousands of imported and exported containers each year.
Looking back at the list of customers that have been loyal for many years, we are proud of that, once they trust the company, they can make many logistics service requests and the U&I team has the ability to build effective customized solutions for each customer.
In addition for serving domestic goods to the international market, U&I Logistics is also chosen by two leading supermarket brands in Vietnam: Saigon Co.op (owner of the Co.op Mart and Co.op Food supermarket chain) and Trancy (logistics partner of the Aeon Mall supermarket system in Vietnam). U&I Warehousing - a member of U&I Logistics - has been entrusted to operate the central warehouse to serve supermarkets in the South for customers. Every day, thousands of regular trips import and export goods at the Distribution Center operated by U&I Logistics at Song Than 1 Industrial Park and VSIP Industrial Park, ensuring goods are present on supermarket shelves quickly, accurately and effectively. We also boldly chooses the own niches when operating logistics services in specialized warehouses for rubber products, specialized warehouses in the pharmaceutical and medical equipment industry, applying accumulated know-how, experience and technology to improve logistics operations efficiency for customers.

In 2013, U&I Logistics was the first unit to invest in the Vietnam transport model (VTruck) to solve the problem of empty vehicles returning, helping to reduce waste in transportation. This problem has been shared, solved by many technology start-up businesses, such as Logivan, EcoTruck, Loglag, VTGo, Smartlog, etc. Although Vtruck has not yet become a successful role model but a pioneering personality, boldly trying new things has been part of our genome.
In 2018, there was a situation where a client requested U&I Logistics to use foreign WMS software at a very high cost to operate. After carefully analyzing the requirements, the U&I Logistics technology team confidently proposed to develop a separate WMS with more streamlined functions, still fully meeting the operational requirements at a lower cost, within a record time: less than 2 months. And as committed, after 2 months of construction, operation and adjustment, the WMS version of U&I Logistics has met the operating requirements, helping the warehouse operation become smooth and standard.
In the trend of "Green Logistics", our company is one of the pioneer logistics enterprises investing in rooftop solar power systems to supply electricity for the humidity control system throughout the company, reducing electricity consumption and contributing to "greening" logistics activities. Remember the stressful period of social distancing to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic in mid-2021, before the pressure of lack of places to receive Covid-19 patients in Binh Duong province, when warehouse No. 10 just finished building, our company boldly proposed to the leader of Khanh Binh ward, Tan Uyen town to contribute the entire 12,800 m2 site as a place to temporarily receive Covid-19 patients while waiting for treatment with a capacity of 2,500 people. The company has also coordinated with the staff, customers and partners to donate and support the companion activities against the Covid-19 epidemic with a total value of nearly 3 billion VND and valuable artifacts.
