Responding the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong province and the Provincial Confederation of Labor, on the morning of June 2, U&I Logistics Joint Stock Company contributed VND 1 billion to the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Fund.
Over 3 weeks, the Covid-19 pandemic has hit many corners of many localities. With the spirit of "fighting the pandemic is like fighting the enemy", was once again upheld by the Government and called for the cooperation of the whole nation. In parallel with pandemic prevention, local authorities have made great efforts to take care of the health and safety of the people in quarantine areas and encourage doctors, medical staff, frontline forces fighting the epidemic. On this occasion, U&I Logistics Joint Stock Company donated 1 billion VND to COVID-19 Prevention and Control Fund. On the afternoon of May 31, 2021, Mr. Pham Quoc Liem, General Director of U&I Agriculture Corporation (Unifarm), a member of Unigroup, went to the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to contribute VND 1 billion to the province's Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund.
Attending the reception ceremony were Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong Tran Thi Kim Lan, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Confederation Nguyen Kim Loan and Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Association Nguyen Thi Le Trinh. Chairman Nguyen Kim Loan said that all the money received will be donated to the province's Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund to join hands for "Million doses of vaccines for poor workers". On behalf of the Standing Board of the Binh Duong Provincial Confederation of Labor, Chairman Nguyen Kim Loan acknowledged and highly appreciated the joint support of U&I Logistics Joint Stock Company for the Covid-19 prevention and control.
Since the Covid-19 pandemic spreaded in Vietnam, U&I Logistics Joint Stock Company has participated in donating 20,000 antibacterial masks to the Reception Department of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Duong for the community. At the same time, the U&I group of members including Unilogistics, Unicons, Unifarm and Unireal members also donated 5 tons of rice (20 tons of rice in total) to implement the idea of free rice ATMs. In 2020, U&I Logistics Joint Stock Company is one of 24 collectives to receive a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for "Having typical awards in Covid-19 prevention".
In addition to supporting the pandemic prevention and control of the Ministry of Health, U&I Logistics Joint Stock Company actively applied strict prevention measures to ensure both anti-epidemic while maintaining production and business properly under the direction of the Government.
