Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong are among localities with the most industrial zones and workers. In which, Binh Duong has 29 industrial parks in operation, 12 industrial clusters with 1.2 million employees. The large number of concentrated workers is at an extremely high risk, greatly affecting production and business activities.
Implementing Directive No. 16 of the Prime Minister in Tan Uyen town, Binh Duong, U&I Logistics Joint Stock Company and many businesses in the area have applied the "3 on-site" model (on-site production), dining and rest on site, reducing exposures and improving income.
Encourage employees to live and work on-site.
Since July 12, 2021, U&I Logistics has started special working days during the Covid-19 epidemic. Most employees work and live on-site. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, CEO of U&I Logistics Joint Stock Company said: “People are key assets for any organization. We always try to make employees feel as comfortable as possible, especially in the complicated epidemic situation like now. Some employees often have to meet customers, they worry that frequent travel will adverse affect their families health. Therefore, we decided to arrange for employees to stay at the company so that they can work safely and protect the health of the community." The company's leadership has convened department heads to discuss the plan to stay on-site and everyone agreed.

Immediately after that, U&I Logistics proceeded to purchase blankets, curtains, mats, pillows, necessities, and arrange fully furnished accommodation for more than 260 employees who agreed to stay on-site. The rest worked from home or entitled minimum wage. In addition, U&I Logistics cooperated with Saigon Medic Hospital to organize Covid-19 testing for all employees to prevent the disease from entering the company.
Apart from 3 main meals provided by the canteen, each employee is also supported by U&I Logistics with 1 million VND/month in addition to the official salary. Mr. Phuc said, U&I Logistics has maintained a culture of people dining at the company for many years, so eating does not have to depend on outsiders. By the afternoon of July 12, the company had arranged accommodation for hundreds of employees. At the same time, fans, washing machines and other necessities are equipped for living at the company.

Make work more fun in the company.
Besides working and dining, U&I Logistics employees can entertain after work with sports and art activities. The company currently has a spacious campus, suitable for organizing sports activities, helping employees to improve their health and relax after work. Mr. Phuc shared: "Staying on-site has some difficulties, but if you think positively, this is also an opportunity for employees living in wards far from the company to have more time for morning exercise and breakfast before starting a new day, relieve fatigue from long distance travel. In addition, in order to ensure the health of employees and their families during the current stressful epidemic situation, Board of Directors always tries to form a comfortable and happy spirit for employees to work normally during the Covid-19 pandemic.” According to him, employees will live and work on-site until the the expire of social distancing.
