U&I Logistics and HACIS Complete the First Pilot Shipment on the SuperLink China Direct Route Extended to Vietnam

In order to diversify international transit cargo corridors and optimize connection time with the global aviation network, U&I Logistics Corporation has coordinated with Hong Kong Air Cargo Industry Services (HACIS) — a member of Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (HACTL) — and Xuan Cuong Joint Stock Company to complete the pilot Vietnam – China – Hong Kong connection leg through the extended SuperLink China Direct service.

Vietnam becomes the first market in Southeast Asia to join the network, with cargo received at Wuzhou before continuing transport to Hong Kong. The pilot shipment consisted of 100 kg of whole-bean roasted coffee exported from Vietnam, which completed the road transport leg from Vietnam through China to the cargo terminal in Hong Kong:

Departing from inland Vietnam, completing export customs procedures at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate (Lang Son).
Crossing the border to Pingxiang (Guangxi, China) for cargo receipt and transshipment.
Continuing road transport from Pingxiang to the Wuzhou cargo logistics center (Guangxi, China).
Connecting via HACIS's Bonded Road Feeder to the SuperTerminal 1 cargo terminal at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), creating the conditions to continue connecting with international flights.

Application of the Single E-lock Scheme (SELS): Cargo is monitored through an electronic sealing lock system and GPS positioning by both mainland China Customs and Hong Kong Customs, helping to limit duplicate manual inspection at border control stations and significantly shortening transit clearance time.
Additional routing options for businesses to weigh cost against time: establishing a flexible complementary transport corridor alongside sea freight (long transit time) and direct air freight from domestic airports (high freight costs and the risk of peak-season overload).
Direct access to the world's leading air transit hub: The corridor brings cargo into HKIA through HACIS's road transport service under customs supervision. In the 2025/26 period, HKIA handled approximately 5.1 million tons of cargo, with around 140 airlines connecting more than 220 destinations worldwide. This corridor has the potential to serve high-value electronic component shipments, cross-border e-commerce products, sample goods, and processed agricultural products.

The completion of the pilot Vietnam – China – Hong Kong leg initially demonstrates the operational coordination capability between U&I Logistics, HACIS, and partners on the new cross-border corridor. This result provides the basis for the parties to continue verifying end-to-end transit time, costs, documentation requirements, and flight connection capability for each specific cargo group.
