U&I LOGISTICS - On September 16, 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City, the General Department of Vietnam Customs (GDVC) is working with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to held the workshop on Implementation of the pilot program for voluntary compliance with Customs law and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony which attracted more than 150 businesses.
Attending the conference were a representative from departments under the General Department of Customs, local customs at the General Department of Customs' headquarters, USAID sponsors and more than 200 carefully selected enterprises. In which, U&I Logistics Corporation is honored to attend as an enterprise that always complies with Vietnamese and international laws.
Speaking at the workshop, Deputy Director General Hoang Viet Cuong said that the goal of the workshop on Implementation of the pilot program for voluntary compliance with Customs law and the MoU signing ceremony is supporting enterprises to voluntarily comply with customs laws towards improving the compliance level of all enterprises after the two years of implementation (80% of enterprises with medium and high compliance levels). From there, these results will help propagate to the remaining businesses a better sense of voluntary compliance with the law. At the same time, improve the management efficiency of Customs and state management agencies in order to improve national competitiveness.
For U&I Logistics Corporation, the signing of a MoU will help raise the level of legal compliance for businesses to level 2 and level 3, reduce inspection rates and costs in customs clearance. In addition, the signing of a MoU also supports the quick handling of problems in the implementation of Customs procedures, from which enterprises proactively take measures to prevent violations and improve compliance. Enterprises will become a reliable partner of the Customs in import and export activities, customs clearance of goods, creating favorable conditions to improve competitiveness in the global market.
