Thị phần dịch vụ logistics quốc tế chủ yếu nằm trong tay doanh nghiệp nước ngoài.
The market share of international logistics services is mainly in the hands of foreign enterprises.

Currently, Vietnam leads ASEAN in the number of logistics service businesses licensed by the US Maritime Administration (FMC) to provide sea freight services to and from the US.

Moreover, Vietnam has 63 logistics service enterprises of Vietnam that have been licensed by the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) to provide sea freight services to and from the US, of which 46 are members of Vietnam Logistics Service Association (VLA).

At the 8th meeting of the National Steering Committee on ASEAN Single Window, National Single Window and Trade Facilitation (August 5), a representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that Vietnam is currently leading the ASEAN region in the number of logistics service enterprises licensed by FMC. The following countries such as Singapore have 53 enterprises, Malaysia has 15 enterprises, the Philippines has 13 enterprises, Indonesia has 12 enterprises, etc.

Regarding the logistics market in Vietnam, according to VLA, the world's leading logistics enterprises such as DHL, DB Schenker, Nippon Express, Sinotrans... have been present in our country and account for about 70-80% of global logistics services  market share.

While Vietnamese logistics enterprises provide mainly domestic services such as: domestic transportation, forwarding, warehousing, customs declaration, goods inspection, on-board rental services, etc.

Compared with foreign enterprises, Vietnamese enterprises currently hold a lot of infrastructure and assets for logistics activities (logistics centers, warehouses, seaports, inland ports, airports, railways, wagons. cars, trucks, etc.), and has the advantage of understanding business practices and domestic customers. But the operation of domestic enterprises is still isolated, financial and administrative capacity is limited, serving only certain segments, lacking a seamless connection to serve integrated logistics services.
